Jo Ann, founder of Generational Music

With a blend of expertise and passion, I am thrilled to introduce myself as a Certified Music Teacher and the Founder of Generational Music, LLC.

My journey began with band as a 6th grader and eventually led to my Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master's degree in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, IL.

As a dedicated educator for over 15 years, I've had the privilege of teaching music and directing choirs across various schools, including Arizona, Texas, and Iowa, where I've inspired young minds through the joy of music.

"That love for teaching eventually led me somewhere unexpected, and deeply personal. There's nothing like watching someone's face light up when they hear a song from their younger years. That joy is what inspired Generational Music, bringing live, interactive music to senior communities, libraries, and classrooms across the Valley."

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am an active member of the community, serving as a Play It Again Band Member in Phoenix and Associate Pastor and Choir Member at my church in Scottsdale. Additionally, I serve as a member of Scottsdale Living, dedicated to fostering connections and growth in our community.

I reside in beautiful Scottsdale with my husband of 12 years and my German shepherd. We enjoy off-roading with our car and road trips to enjoy the incredible views here in Arizona.
